VIII Educators

[This chronicle is best read from the beginning.]

Despite having served over a century as the Schrödingers' Chief of Staff, Commissioner Piran swallowed his pride and willingly accepted the help of the Adeptus Custodians. (It is a challenge to feel much pride anyway in the presence of such gods of war!) While the entire regiment of Schrödinger's Catechists required significant retraining, it was decided that the most promising members of the former PDF should receive special instruction to become elite soldiers.

These men and women were selected for their intelligence, physical prowess and above all zeal for the mission of Schrödinger's Syndicate. They received months of intensive training, often at the hands of the Custodian Guardians themselves. They were even granted the priveledge of boarding the Brethren's mysterious ship in order to train in its halucinarium, and so experience the genuine terrors of a battlefield.

The Incomers

Many of course fell by the way and were returned to train with the rest of the PDF. But those who made it through the Custodes' brutal military education were granted new equipment and special weapons. Their tempestus scion armour was remodelled to reflect the honour of being trained by the Emperor's personal guard and sealed up to enable short grav-chute insertions through the void of space. This tactic resulted in their nickname: the 'Incomers'.

Tempestor Lawney & Sergeant Lill

Under the command of Tempestor Lawney, the Incomers were further honoured by Lady Schrödinger herself with the heraldic honorific of a Pegasus, for they are indeed the most zealous soldiers of her Syndicate. They are also, perhaps unsurprisingly, the most arrogant.
