[This chronicle is best read from the beginning.]

Rogue Trader Schrödinger was not entirely comfortable with the increasing number of Imperial organisations attending her nomadic armada. Interrogator Justinius Moat and the Emperor's Vendetta had become firmly attached to the Syndicate fleet. And although the Adeptus Custodes were rarely present now, such extraordinary beings leave an impression on the human mind that lingers, and she was constantly vigilant for the reappearance of their mighty, black-gold star cruiser.

On the other hand, much as she disliked Moat as an individual, it was comforting to know that the slightest suspicion of chaos taint was being thoroughly investigated and suppressed by his agents. (Her own informer, Proctor-Exactant Hastings of The Watch, was quietly keeping her abreast of the Inquisition's investigations.)

But a Rogue Trader is no Imperial puppet - she enjoys Emperor-given independence - yet Kitty Schrödinger was increasingly finding herself limited by the influence of the Adeptus Administratum. And then she received word of yet more Imperial agencies joining the Syndicate.

Schrödinger's Lectro-Maester, 5a-M was likewise uncomfortable with the increasing influence of various Imperial agencies. In addition to the presence of the Ordo Hereticus, he had received word from Mars that a small consignment of Arco-flagellants had recently been assembled at the behest of the Adepta Sororitas. These particular servitors had been delivered to a squad of Sisters Repentia who were now on their way to rendezvous with Schrödinger's Syndicate.

In reply to this intelligence, 5a-M requested the immediate attendance of his old unit, Hunter Clade Mu99-3t5, suggesting to Rogue Trader Schrödinger that he required assistance in cataloguing the phenomenal quantities of data he was gathering. When she questioned whether a Hunter Clade could really be considered an administrative entity, 5a-M admitted his primary concern was to protect the interests of the Adeptus Mechanicus and ensure the proper repossession of any archeotech discovered by Schrödinger's Syndicate.

Schrödinger forgave her Lectro-Maester his uncharacteristically human attempt at obfuscation: a force of Skitarii and Sicarian operatives would no doubt prove useful allies, particularly with 5a-M overseeing them and thus keeping the radiation-soaked cyborgs at arm's length. Nonetheless, the Rogue Trader instructed her rejuvenat adept Re'em to review her personal radiation protection protocols.

Upon the Hunter Clade's arrival, Skitarii Alpha K3r-M1t shared with 5a-M the complete data regarding the Repentia Squad and drew to the Lectro-Maester's attention a strange phenomenon: their gene-biome signatures indicated that every one of the flagellants and Repentias appeared to be a former inhabitant of Barfunweltz-2. When 5a-M informed Schrödinger, she did not appear particularly surprised.

Mu99-3t5's arrival added representatives of the Adeptus Mechanicus to those of the Ordo Hereticus and Adeptus Custodes. And now there was the prospect of Adeptus Ministorum representation as well. The Rogue Trader's celebrity was waxing, but she was finding the attention stifling and restrictive. She considered changing course to avoid her appointment with the Adepta Sororitas, but if this Repentia squad was comprised of whom she suspected, she knew they would never give up searching for the refugee armada.

And so Rogue Trader Schrödinger was resolved: it was time to face the music, light the lights and get started on her true mission, hopefully a little further away from the strings of Imperial interference.
